Who Receives Furniture?
Our program is here to support residents in financial distress from communities within Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills.*
Thank you for helping me and my family out. It is really tough for us to move into a new house with any furniture or beds and you are really helping us get through this big move. I'm very grateful that you are giving me and my sisters and my mom and my nanny beds, and I can't wait until I get mine.
How Do I receive Furniture?
To be considered to receive furniture from Acts 4, clients are asked to schedule an in-person appointment at our facility. Please call 203-574-2287 to schedule your appointment. Please bring a photo ID and papers indicating what aid you currently receive. During your appointment, we will answer any questions regarding our procedure for receiving furniture. A fee of $50 or 10 hours of volunteer work is required to receive furniture. Once your application is completed, a visit to your home by our volunteers will be scheduled to survey your needs and physically locate your home for furniture delivery. Delivery of furniture will be arranged once all of these outlined steps have been completed.
Acts 4 provides furniture to those in need one time only. If additional furniture is needed, items can be purchased at a reduced rate in our caring thrift store. Please contact 203-574-2287 for more information.
*Additional cases outside of greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills are reviewed on a case by case basis.
Where Do I Go If I Need...?
In order to meet the needs of our clients with infants, Acts 4 has formed a great working relationship with Hope Pregnancy Center. Please contact them directly by stating that you are a referral from Acts 4.
